Josey Herrera works as a media producer for the Chancellor's Diversity Initiative at the University of Missouri. Herrera is passionate about accurate storytelling and community engagement. They work to combine their knowledge as a social justice warrior and journalist by often focusing on covering the LGBTQ community and communities of color. Herrera has previously worked at the Columbia Missourian, KBIA 91.3, Patch.com, the Tampa Bay Times and the Miami Herald. Outside of media work, Herrera plays roller derby as "Jo Danger" (#305) and studies cartomancy. Herrera requires they/them pronouns.
