Bill Hickman is a professor of mass communication at the University of Central Oklahoma and a licensed attorney in the state of Oklahoma. He teaches courses on media law, news reporting, editing and public relations. He has worked as a copy editor at The Dallas Morning News, The Oklahoman and Tulsa World. He has authored book chapters on “Writing the Depth/Investigative Story” and “Writing the News for the Web” for the textbook The Journalist’s Primer.
